Thirteen days before our Adjustment of Status interview, my application for employment authorization had been approved. I received an e-mail today from USCIS that the card has been ordered and may arrive within 30 days. It was a relief hearing news from them since it has been 70 days since we sent our application. It had been a little over a month too since the USCIS had updated our status online.

Based on the timeline I have seen on VisaJourney members, the card should arrive next week. It would be great to have a job before my husband’s birthday so I can get a job online and able to buy him a birthday present. If the card will not arrive next week, no problem.

It is a great feeling for sure. You think about how life used to be crazy financially and emotionally. God is great.
