How long did you know your husband before you filed for a K-1 visa?

Thanks for answering my question, Reah. May I ask, did it just work out that way, or was it recommended that you wait that long? I worry about applying too quickly and having Immigration questioning our true motivations.

    Good day, Rhea!

Thank you for this timeline. I am getting anxious because it has been four months and we have not received our 2nd notice of action. Rhea, did you get a lawyer to help you with your papers? I’m just wondering because my fiancee and I just did it by ourselves. I met someone and it took them two years to process the paper. They finally decided to pay for a lawyer and got their papers in 5 months!

Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you.

hi, we file our petition last month and we have receive the email confirmation from USCIS after 10 days of filing. my concern is, we include a cheque amounting $340 for visa fee. is it a right thing? because upon checking with other k-1 visa application, it shows that they pay $240 in US Embassy here in Manila.
